I am reintalling Fincal Cut Studio, and having the content loaded onto my FW 800 Drives.
Does the reinstall of the software automatically overwrite the exisiting Fical Cut Studio? I dumped the content files, but left all the software in place.
Should I have uninstalled FCS before proceeding?
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6), 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
But do I need to remove it before a re-install? What happens if I don't?
I have twice used install over existing FCS without uninstall and it worked perfectly.
Many folks here with issues, found that after spending hours re-installing/updating FCP, that they should have first erased it from their system before doing so.
It only takes a couple of minutes for this step... I'd rather be safe than sorry.
But do you HAVE TO? NO you don't, it's not obligatory...
